23rd: CONOR DALY No. 20 BITNILE.COM Chevrolet
CONOR DALY, No. 20 BITNILE.COM Chevrolet, Finished 23rd: “The first stint was going great. It felt good to able to pass a few guys. The second stop, we had an issue getting the car up in the air and that really hurt us. The things happen in motorsport, it was a shame to see both cars struggle with something today. We have to be better next time and we know we are going into a few tracks were we have been fast at in the past. We just have to look forward!”
- Conor Daly reached 100 career NTT INDYCAR SERIES starts today with the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. He qualified 27th in the No. 20 BITNILE.COM Chevrolet. During his first stint, Daly was up nine positions to 18th.
- Track conditions were difficult to manage while on a set of green Firestone Firehawks during his second stint. An equipment malfunction contributed to a lengthy final pitstop for Daly. Passing opportunities were limited and he was unable to make up any additional positions. Daly took the checkered flag in 23rd.

26th: RINUS VEEKAY No. 21 BITNILE.COM Chevrolet
RINUS VEEKAY, No. 21 BITNILE.COM Chevrolet, Finished 26th: “It has been a tough weekend, but we made good progress so we have more of a direction to go when we come back next year. I think we really found something overnight and I was doing pretty well actually but it was tough to pass. I was hanging well with the cars around me and should have been in the Top 12, at least. It’s hard to not get good points. At one point, I was running six to eight miles an hour slower on the straightaways than everyone else. We stoped before we did any damage to the engine, we tried to think long-term. We’ve got Barber coming up and Barber is fun!”
- Rinus VeeKay qualified 19th for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. In this morning’s warm up, significant improvements were made to the No. 21 BITNILE.COM Chevrolet and he turned the 7th fastest lap.
- VeeKay was up to 15th when a mechanical issue began to plague the car. He managed to stay on track until Lap 48, when he brought the car into the pit lane. He was retired from the event and credited with a 26th place finishing position.
NEXT RACE: Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park, April 30 (NBC, 3 p.m. ET)
